Still working my hero hero vehicles deck for my first regionals in September. The previous version didn't do so well on TTS last night - I got destroyed by mill, smashed by Rex and 2x troopers and absolutely nailed by Snoke/DJ. (Although I can't think of any deck that would do very well against that last one!)
I've now stripped this back to zero upgrades, and I've also ditched the Second Chance cards and the more expensive vehicles like Delta-7 Interceptor, Ghost, Black One and Millennium Falcon I was struggling to ever play, or were leaving me with no cash for control cards. Have included a couple of mind tricks now for more control, but these will depend on keeping lil' mate padawan alive. I guess the focus is getting supports and vehicles out as fast and efficiently as possible in round 1.
Haven't play tested yet, will update when I have. Some questions in the meantime for more experienced heads:

What is a good battlefield to play if I don't really expect to ever claim it?! Docking bay works if I can get it but this deck is super slow (Which I assume is typical of vehicle decks) but generally I just end up giving my opponent an advantage if I choose my battlefield, and I could use the two shields at setup for padawan.

I now only have 6 vehicles in the deck - does this even count as a vehicle deck anymore?! Granted I have 4 other supports which facilitate getting them out, but they don't actually do direct damage.

I think that first round I'd be looking for Honour guards, tech teams and vehicles, and I accept that I'll probably take damage round one while I get these supports our ready to smash in round 2. Does this sound like a wise strategy or is there another approach I could be taking towards round one cards?
- Finally, can anyone point me in the direction of a successful hero vehicles deck so I can see if there's anything really obvious I'm missing from my collection?!
PS I'm in New Zealand so no WOTF cards until the 12th :'(

I like to use Weapons Factory Alpha - Cymoon 1 cuz nobody likes to give you a minus 1 to a vehicle turn one. So you pretty much either start the game with an extra , or 2 s. |

Here is a link to my very successful Hero Vehicles deck, though there will be some significant changes once Way of the Force comes out, including adding some Resistance Crait Speeder and ARC-170 Starfighter. Taking out the Falcon and something else.

The Krayt Dragon Howl is almost useless as most people will just mill 2, and Fang Fighter will definitely come out after the Way of the Force releases for you.
My goal was to hope to take less that 6 damage round one and use the entire round to build my board state, getting all of the Rally Aid and Tech Team out as fast as possible and hoping to play a vehicle or 2. You will definitely target the Resistance Crait Speeder with your Hera specials as it will always come in and be able to increase its values. I would recommend 10-12 vehicles, which become very easy to play once you get the Tech Teams and Rally Aids out, then you flood with powerful vehicle dice.
